Hodges isn't always in every episode but David is in nearly every single one. Yet he only gets "special guest star" during the guest credits after the first commercial break. He is not a "guest star" when he is in 99% of the episodes. Teeth grinding when being saddled, what is this noise?

I have a 9 year old OTTB that when you are tightening the girth, he makes this weird grinding sound with his teeth, or like he scs his teeth together, it makes kind of a squeeking noise. And sometimes when he's standing tied to be saddled, he'll keep trying to chomp on the tying post. I was fearful these were possible signs of cribbing? I'm not that familiar with it though, should these noises with his teeth be something I should worry about? and how do I stop him from chewing? for I think sometime in his racing career he may have been hit a lot with a whip or something cruel, so I can't smack him and tell him no or he'll pull on the rope and get horrible freaked out if things move that quick by his face. suggestions?

There is no 'cure' but there are treatments for seizure activity. Besides phenobarb (diazepam is usually an acute med and not something that you would keep them on like the phenobarb) there is potium bromide and several other anti-convulsant meds but these two are the most common used with dogs. Your VET should be able to help you decide what is best for the dog to prevent seizure activity and potential death. If you don't trust your vet, find another.

very normal - they do that, when they start eating more solids their milk reduces, at 7 months they are only meant to have 3 bottles a day and 3/4 meals a day which is what my daughter has been doing for months (since like 5 months) so i would say its normal by 10 months to be down to 2 bottles a day, just breakfast and bedtime, the rest of the time should be normal food...

My POA mare is really sensitive to sand, and we just got her on Sand Relief. Unfortunately, it didn't kick in in time, and she's been colicky today. It started around 4-5pm, pretty mild. Not wanting to eat grain...I check the grumbling in her stomach-it was there. Soon, she wouldn't eat her hay. The grumbling slowly goes quieter. Then she starts kicking her belly and shaking her head. She never layed down though. I walked her up and down little hills and everything. She would get colicky, then be fine...then get colicky again. Want to eat, then not want to. Finally, she layed down, and tried to roll. I got her up and walked her. Then she layed down and tried to roll again. I let her lay down and rest for a bit, then got her up. This whole time, she's still going back and forth. She didn't want any water at all though. Finally, she seemed to act normal, and I left (of course, keeping a close watch on her out the window. I went back out around 9:30pm, and she was laying down. Her stomach was rumbling loudly though. I'm not sure if it's just because I put new shavings in or not (they're run-ins, so there's usually no shavings at all). I AM worried that she is still colicking though, since she is still acting just a little bit funny (just holding her head down. she is alert though). I have not seen her poop...which is worrying me. She may have done it while I was inside for 2 hours or so, but if she did, it wasn't near the sheds. What are your thoughts? I am home alone right now (because I didn't want to leave her when they had plans to meet friends for glow bowling), but my family is getting home soon. If she needs it, I have Banamine, but I don't know if she needs it. She's not showing many signs of colic. Will it hurt if I give it just in case? Also, I don't know if she isn't pooping because it's too hard or runny (she's had both problems before).

I had a real slumlord once that cared so little about the house we lived in (this was about 15 years ago) that he allowed the house to become infested with roaches and did nothing and he even painted his choice for president on the front of our house. Why does my 1990 Buick Lesabre die all of a sudden?

i have a 1990 buick lesabre with a 3.8 liter engine. i first noticed the problem when my car died all of a sudden when i got up to speed. i pulled over and tried to start my car again and it had a terrible miss and i heard popping in my engine. the exaust manifold was glowing red hot. i eliminated the catalytic converter and that solved the exaust manifold problem. my car still dies when stopped at a stop light or when i get up to speed. and when i start it again it either wont start or it has a terrible miss and the popping comes back. it gets worse when i give it some gas and then it dies again. i have replaced the O2 sensor, cam sensor, EGR valve, spark plug wires, coil pack, and the crankshaft sensor. none of these have fixed the problem.

I was recently told at a first-aid cl that one way to keep bystanders occupied was to have them direct traffic. However, I also remember being told following a car accident a number of years ago that only someone who was actually qualified for traffic control was allowed to direct traffic (anyone can place cones/flares around their vehicles, but not instruct other drivers on how to detour around it). Ladies, How can I make more time with my wife?

My wife is complaining that I do not make enough time for her. In all honesty I don't see how I can squeeze more time out of my day. I don't fish, hunt, play golf or do anything for myself, EVER. I go to work every day and go to the gym (3 days a week). I still arrive home before my wife, when I go to the gym. The rest of my time is spent with my family in some way. On the weekends, I am either with all or some of them the entire time. I do have a son (from a previous marriage) that I spend time with either in conjunction with and/or seperate from my wife. I have altered the things I used to do (not going to ball games, not spending as much time coaching my son's ball teams, not going to the gym on the weekends, neglecting projects that need to be done at home). I could literally write a novel because up until June, I had been with my doc for nearly two years (previously I saw a different doc in his group for 10 years). The first time we met, he gave me a really intense look and I knew he was attracted to me. BUT I can talk to him about anything else pertaining to my life. When I would see him for appointments, he acted like a school boy, all giddy to the point where his voice even got higher and he struggled with doing his job. My Best Friend is a nurse in the clinic and has told me that his entre staff thinks there is something going on between us, even though I have NEVER, I mean NEVER done anything with him (not even a kiss) but the chemistry is apparently so hot, and he doesn't act that way with other patients. (like he walks me to the door everytime, puts his arm around me, etc). Even though all of this, and so much more, has gone on, he is now volunteering to work on a committee with me directly for the non-profit org I am the event planner for. i was on the fentanyl patch 25 mcg and it helped me alot. I found a kitten I believe is 5-6 months old outside by my garage and my stray cat i call Mr.Tom saw him and almost attacked the kitten so i grabbed it up and brought it inside. It was very malnourished but i have had it for a week now and she has gained weight (now weighs 5 lbs) and looks very healthy now. I am willing to foster and pay for food and litter, But she needs to be checked by a vet and given all her shots and be spayed. I can't afford it. I accidentally swallowed some gas, will I die?

I have been siphoning gas out of my wifes car for the past two nights. She spends all of our money and I have to be able to git another tire for my truck of I will lose my job or git shot by an angry motorist cause I have to drive on the flat to work every day. How does your dog feel about snow?

My wolf absolutely LOVED the snow! He would leap and roll and stick his nose way in it and throw it over himself then try to bury himself in it. It was just hilarious to watch him in the snow! It made him so SO happy! He never got cold or tired of playing in the snow. My pugs on the other hand are very sensitive to the cold. I'm sure they would not enjoy it at all so I have no plans of taking them to snow country. Where I live it only snows about every five years and then it is just a little and it melts right away. I used to make special trips to the snow for my wolf because he loved it so much. Who says my critters are spoiled? LOL!

Ballpark cost of a retaining wall vs lots of lava rock and landscaping fabric?

I have a hillside in the back of my yard. The previous owner set up a little garden of mulch and shrubs. It has been neglected and is now a 100'x50' area of weeds with a rotten 100' railroad tie retaining wall at the bottom of the hill. I was thinking of laying landscape fabric in the area and filling it up with lava rock and turing it into a 100'x 50' rock garden. My father suggested looking into the possibility of doing 2 retaining walls in a step sequence to make the yard more level in that area. 1 block wall to replace the railroad ties and another about 10' above it to level off the yard at the top of the hill. I figured lava rock and fabric would probably run me about $6,000 to do that 100'x50' area I was wondering if the retaining walls and excavation would be in that cost range? Outgrowing latex allergy?

It won't go away. I have had a latex allergy since I was about 6. I am now 26. At the age of 18 I finally went into anaphylatic shock. I actually stopped breathing and was coded. It will eventually get worse. I went from breaking out only, to swelling up in that area, to breathing problems, to anaphylatic shock. Sorry, but it doesn't get any better.

Okay so this is going to sound stupid but please take it seriously. I've tried to talk to my mom but clearly to her it's not important and I'm being stupid. Call an attorney first thing in the morning. Tell the secretary the dilemma and the urgency needed in a return call. Then wait at the doctor's office until the doors open so that you are there first thing. Let your doctor know how much pain you are still in. I experienced a back injury and then workman's comp for over 2 yrs. It is along battle. I eventually had to go without pay and file with the workman's comp board. They then ordered a second opinion, not the work comp MD. The second doctor found two injured discs and eventually surgery which relieved some problems. Hopefully you won't need to go to those lengths. The biggest issue is getting an attorney to represent you, otherwise work comp will walk all over you.

Wrongfully declared dead?

I have a relative who was declared dead in error. It's a long story, but he was in an accident and suffered some memory loss. We discovered that he is a alive and he found his way back to us. The problem is that a death certificate was issued and his property and ets were distributed by the probate court. He is insisting that all his property be returned to him as he wants to resume his life. How can we go about reversing the probate order and recollecting his property? Some of the family is not cooperating. Also, what can we do about the death certificate? Is there a way it can be discharged or canceled?

I just looked at all 3 at a site called My Pet Chicken and it looks that the Australorp is the one that fits what you need. The Langshan would be another that is good for a back yard pen, but is not as proflic a layer as the Australorp. Also the Langshan is getting to be a rare breed according to the web site. They are also docile, broody and calm. The Plymouth Rock is not a proflic egg layer as the Australorp and is happier as a freerange chicken, but will confine well. All three winters well. But if you are going for a good egg producer the Australorp is the one I would go with. We have some chickens, mostly banties and a couple of game hens. But in looking at these chickens, I would like to have about 3 Australorp hens and a roo for those times when the cost of eggs are skyhigh.

What do I do after a meltdown?

About 4 years ago I started getting really depressed, got in a lot of bad relationships, and had severe PTSD from an abusive childhood. The whole four years were sorta one big long mental breakdown, with a very loose grasp on reality (not in a schizophrenic kinda way, more Dharma and Greg but without everything working out in the last minute and a half of the show). I've been doing a lot better the past six months, but in order to get grounded I had to really isolate myself. I don't have any friends, haven't worked in almost 2 years, don't go out much. Does anyone have any tips for how to get back into the world without loosing it again or constantly getting rejected for being gone so long (like with a job)?

Help! Getting sued by my own crazy brother!?

I started an in-house home tutoring company in 2002. In the summer of 2005, my brother became interested and wanted to help expand it into Connecticut. After only creating a mediocre website and doing barely anything as far as helping with the business, he lost interest in the company in a few months. In 2006, he sabotaged my company website because he had the pword. He wrote on the website that my company was shut down because of legal action. He now is suing me, saying he is entitled to half of the company and wants 60 thousand dollars to settle. My lawyer said it could cost up to 30 grand just to go to court and get defended. Nothing was ever signed between us and there was ever any contract saying we were partners. How can this be legal? Can I counter sue for sabotaging my website and trying to extort money from me? I have been riding my Marin mountain bike on the road but would like to explore road biking more by actually using a road bike. This would be my first road bike. Cat on special food, coming into house with other cats, what to do?

I adopted a cat recently from someone who had a baby and had to give him away. He had kidney stones in the past and so he is on Medi-cal Preventative Formula Food. He's a himalayan so they are susceptable to oxalate kidney stones. I'm taking him home for the holidays to my mom's house, however she has 5 cats. I'm wondering if I can let him roam the house considering he is on special food, and shouldn't be eating the other cats food. Any idea on how I can let him roam without having him eat the other cats food? If there wasn't so many cats, it'd be easier to control. Dealing with Depression and Anxiety in College?

In the middle of Spring I began seeing a shrink for depression and anxiety. I had past problems I needed to deal with, and a week before college I was put on Cymbalta for it. Ever since I stepped into college, Ive become increasingly more depressed, and it has begun to affect my schoolwork as well as my life in general. I haven't had any suicidal or homicidal thoughts, but Ive really become so depressed its hard for me to move or think. I have no motivation, and its become just a lot to handle. I have been to the therapist who wants to see me every few weeks (its an intern right now) and Ive been just overwhelmed. I need help. What can I do? It seems everything in my life has become a problem and i just need help. What can I do, please help. I dont know who to talk to. Its taking over my life and the pill effects (I think) are being combatted internally by my suppressed thoughts I don't have control over. Please help.
