Is it hard for a shy guy to get a good looking girlfriend?

I'll be 20 years old next month and I've never been out on a date. I'm not in college right now and the only people I talk to in person are my parents so online dating is what I have been checking out later. I also have a desire to find a girlfriend who would like to play footsie, especially if both of us are in bare feet. I don't want a girlfriend just to play footsie with her. I want find a girl that I connect with, is educated, attractive, and sense of humor. With that said, I want a girlfriend who wouldn't mind playing footsie once in a while. It just wouldn't work out on a physical stand point if she had a phobia of it. So could I find a girl?
