Parelli gone wrong?***Please answer!?

Your problems have nothing to do with Parelli methods. The problems sound like those caused by "people" with poor ability. Perhaps your friend says she is a "level 1" but this pony is definitely not. Horses cannot be "spoiled" as their minds do not work that way. They are pure in their thoughts and intentions. They do not scheme and plot relative to their behavior. If you pull back on two reins with a snaffle, it is like a nutcracker on the bars and the joint stabs into the soft palate of the horse. The reaction will not be good. This pony needs some basic ground training and training under saddle, age is irrelevant. What you describe is not safe. Good luck.
