My ex friend tried to get me to?

get me to put my cellphone plan and combine it with his, and tried to get bank accounts together, and tried to tell me where I should live, which apartment, and was trying to tell me different ways to do things... eventually I got out of it and did my own thing, but why was he so insistent upon me joining everything with him?
