My Betta fish has a long tail like a Male, but.?

I've had a male with an oviposter too, they're not a sure-fire way of ing Bettas! If it has a long tail, long ventral fins and a full "ruff" around the head when it flares, then yes you have a male, a slightly one, but a male!
